Dear Members,

ASIS International (Singapore Chapter) [“ASIS Singapore”] is pleased to launch an inaugural CPP/PSP Scholarship Programme to support aspiring security professionals in Singapore.

ASIS Singapore typically conducts twice-yearly the ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP Ⓡ ) and Physical Security Professional (PSP Ⓡ ) Review Courses, to help aspiring certificants prepare for the CPP and PSP exams. In line with ASIS’ mission, this scholarship program aims to promote professional certification and raise security standards in the industry. It is an initiative by ASIS Singapore to encourage and promote education to members who wish to upgrade themselves as security professionals.

Applications for these scholarship awards are open only to ASIS members. In line with ASIS HQ, selection criteria for these awards would be based mainly on financial need, merit, and volunteer leadership participation as follows:

Selection Criteria

  1. Valid member of ASIS International
  2. Not previously awarded any ASIS award since 2018
  3. Has not previously held any ASIS certification i.e. CPP/PSP/PCI/APP
  4. Has not previously attended any CPP/PSP Review Course conducted by ASIS Singapore
  5. Participation in Chapter events
  6. Contributions to ASIS International and ASIS Singapore

Please note that each of these scholarships (valued up to $2,000) is for the attendance of either our 4-day CPP or 3-day PSP Review Course, which excludes the CPP or PSP exam fee that is separately payable as and when the award holder is ready to sit for the exam. This scholarship does not guarantee that the selected recipient will be approved to take the CPP/PSP exam or achieve certification, but rather the CPP/PSP Review Course fee is being sponsored by ASIS Singapore. Subject to the Covid-19 situation and availability of courses, scholarship recipients will have up to the end of 2021 to attend the awarded course.

Please apply online here; and submit to ASIS International (Singapore Chapter) at memberservices@asis-singapore.org.sg.  All submissions must reach the Singapore Chapter by 1200hr, Saturday 18 July 2020.

Scholarship recipients will be selected with reference to ASIS Foundation scholarship policy, and the Chapter’s decision will be final.  Please note that late submissions and appeals will not be entertained.

Kind Regards
