Dear Fellow Members,
On behalf of the Management Committee 2013-2014, I would like to extend season’s greetings. It is the time of the year to spend with loved ones before getting busy with new challenges in 2015.
The Chapter conducted its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 9 November, with over 30 members in attendance. In addition to the Honorary Chairman and Honorary Treasurer reports, elections for a new Management Committee 2015-2016 took place. I am pleased to see that there will be renewal of leadership as well as within the management committee. We can look forward to new ideas and energy from the incoming management committee.
I am also delighted to introduce Mr. James Toh, CPP as the Honorary Chairman-elect. He will start in the new role on 1st January 2015 for a term of 2 years. Please look forward for his address in January with the composition of new MC members.
2014 has been a busy year for the chapter. In summary, a total of 138 educational hours were created for members and the public. This comes from 4 review courses, 4 site visits, 4 seminars, and 1 conference.   Financially, the chapter has booked a surplus of S$18,159 for the past financial year. The year ends with two events: 1) A special Q4 networking dinner with ASIS International Chairman, Board member, volunteer leaders and staff present; 2) Crisis Management & BCM Masterclass that attracted 100 registrations.
Please join me in thanking the 2013-2014 Management Committee for the hard work in the past two years. You’d be pleased to know that many of the familiar committee members continue to serve in upcoming term.
Lastly, I would welcome the new members to the Chapter.
Regards,
Leonard Ong, CPP
Honorary Chairman
