To encourage better workplace practices and behaviours, Grégoire will deliver a workshop where participants can learn how to identify instances of sexual harassment and examine case studies which navigate workplace response to the complexities of problematic and sensitive situations.

Throughout 2021, UWS will host informative events to raise public awareness of the impacts of gender-based violence and share the knowledge and expertise of our distinguished speakers on how key stakeholders, the community and individuals can create a safe, supportive and inclusive society.

We have the pleasure of hosting two leading experts in policing, A/Superintendent Nadine Wagner and A/Sergeant Christy Christen, Major Crimes Unit, Calgary Police Services (Canada).

First responders are a critical point of intervention for those individuals in their life-changing situation and as such, the importance of the training of first responders to properly identify and deal with potential domestic violence incidents. Learn more about an integrated community justice programme – Calgary’s Domestic Conflict Response Team where this new collaborative approach takes into account the complexities of groups affected by domestic violence and seek to better serve communities with personalised and compassionate services.
