In conjunction with Security Industry Conference (SIC) 2013 on 7-8 May 2013, ASIS International (Singapore Chapter) will be hosting its second quarter Networking dinner and evening seminar on 7 May at The Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands. Participation in this event will qualify for 2 CPE hours towards recertification of CPP, PSP and PCI certification.
The Chapter has invited Mr. Alan Berman, President, DRI International Foundation, to share his experience and thoughts on Business Continuity Management. Alan Berman is a CBCP, a member of the ASIS BS25999 technical committee, a member of the Committee of Experts for ANSI-ANAB, a former member of the NY City Partnership for Security and Risk Management and the co-chair for the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation committee to create the new standard for the US Private Sector Preparedness Act (PL 110-53). Over a career that has spanned 25 years, he has served as a President and CIO for a major financial institution, National Practice Leader for Operational Resiliency for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Global Business Continuity practice leader for Marsh.
The presentation is in line with SIC 2013’s theme on Crisis Management. This will be an excellent opportunity for members, affiliated associations’ members, and the public to gain insights from a well known, international keynote speaker. The Chapter is offering all ASIS International members the opportunity to join as a Singapore Chapter member by paying the membership dues of SGD 100 before 5 May. In doing so, you will be able to attend this event at Marina Bay Sands and subsequent events at preferential rates (complimentary, subsidised or discounted). The Chapter organises field visits and lecture series throughout the year to provide continuing education for security professionals.
