Since its inception in 2009, the Security Industry Conference (SIC) series was established with the main objective of providing the industry with good market insights so as to better equip Singapore’s security professionals with the latest updates on the eer-changing security landscape.

With the theme of “Leveraging Technology & Information for Better Security”, SIC 2014 will see a panel of top speakers sharing case studies on the adoption of technology to enhance productivity and efficiency. Delegates will also learn from the experts on how leveraging key information would be crucial in preventing security incidents and breaches.

	Mr Steve S. Surfaro Chairman, ASIS International – Physical Security Council Topic: Ensuring Effective Security with Modern Tools & Techniques With more than 25 years of security industry experience, Steve Surfaro is Axis Communications Industry Liaison and Chairman of the ASIS Physical Security Council. He is also Chairman of the SIA Digital Video Subcommittee, Chairman of the CSAA Video Services Subcommittee, Industry Liaison for the BICSI ESS Standard Committee and Standards Team Leader for the DHS Video Quality in Public Safety Group.

	Dr Nina Laven Director, INSEAD eLab Topic: Beyond the Buzz: Security and the Social Web Nina Laven is currently the Director of INSEAD eLab and is responsible for both the growth and leadership of the centre’s insights business in Asia. Graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Harbour, MI (USA) with a Ph.D in Social Anthropology, Laven has experitse in risk, security, research design, as well as economic experience. In addition she also has broad experience in the creation, management and execution of custom analytics solutions for security.
