Dear Members,

Security industry has never been busier with increasing risks and challenges that we are faced with. ASIS Singapore continues to foster closely knit security community and develop its members through various education programs.  In the third year since we started the transformation, we have seen continuing increase in quality and attendance of events.

Here are some updates since this year:

2) Site Visits
There visits were organised this year including National University of Singapore (NUS)Parliament House of Singapore and Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS).   Valuable knowledge sharing by the hosts have been well received by the members.  We are getting requests to conduct more visits from members
3) Quarterly Dinner and Networking
Following the tradition of hosting Lunar new year dinner for Q1 event, The chapter organised a private blockbuster movie screening ‘Edge of Tomorrow, The private screening was attended over 60 delegates.  The next event will be late this month during Security Industry Conference and Q4 will be on 9 December along with our Annual General Meeting.
4) Conferences
The Chapter co-organises Security Industry Conference 2014 which is a high profile conference in Singapore.  Not only we have expanded the program from 2 to 3 days, we have invited various speakers from overseas and from public sector.  One of the keynote speaker is Steve Surfaro, ASIS Int’l Physical Security Council Chair.  Both conference and masterclass are complimentary,  members are encouraged to register soon as seats are limited.
We are working very closely with ASIS International to ensure success of Asia Pacific Conference taking place on 7-9 December 2014.  Your participation in the conference will be anticipated as the conference has not been held in Singapore since 2008.
